Born in Atlanta, I now live on Vashon Island, near Seattle. My grandmother introduced me to yoga as a teenager, and I initially fell in love with a slow flow style taught by Erich Schiffman. I later transitioned to Ashtanga, and now I teach a few styles, from vinyasa to slow flow to hatha and restorative, with an emphasis on safe alignment. I obtained my RYT 200-hour certification from CorePower Yoga in August, 2017, and completed the Corepower Yoga Advanced Power Yoga Extensions program in October, 2017.
I continue to find inspiration in my own practice and in my teachers, including Avril James in Atlanta; Tiffany Cruikshank; Kathryn Budig; David Life & Sharon Gannon; Taryn Toomey; Natalie Kuhn, and Carling Harps.
I also find inspiration in music and believe that a powerful playlist is a great complement to yoga.
"Yoga is music - the body is the instrument, the mind is the musician, and the breath is the tone."
